Who doesn't love bangin' around on pots and pans? We're going to cook up a whole lot of fun in this class. We will sing, dance and play instruments in our pretend kitchen and even cook up a real snack for snack time. Top it off with your child's very own chef hat creation and you've got a recipe for fun!
Princesses & Pirates
Come sail the seven seas to an enchanted island and dig for pirates treasure to decorate your every own royal crown for the ball. Eat poison apples and fall into an enchanted sleep only to awaken to a world of eploration.
Zany Zoo Fun!
Stomp, stomp, stomp, in the zoo we will romp. Join all the animals in the zoo and try to do what they can do. Sing a song with Kookaburra and hop with the Kangaroo. Make a close-pin giraffe and swim like a seal in the sea. Clap your hands with monkey then join him for a snack of bananas & animal crackers. This class is full of movement that will keep even the busiest toddler engaged.
ABC Signing Classes (2 - 5 years)
ABC Sign With Me
This signing class for toddlers and preschoolers is fun for both the seasoned signer as well as the preschooler with no signing experience. In this class we explore the world of words while using American Sing Language as a tool to teach your child their ABC's and initial sounds. By singing, dancing and even drawing our letters in oatmeal, we concentrate on giving your child a multi-sensory learning experience with letters and language. And it is this type of grounded learning experience which is the foundation needed to truly understand and retain the abstract concepts of letters and words.
ABC Sign and Read
In this class we will explore pre-reading skills as well as take those first leaps into spelling and sight reading. Every other week we will introduce a new book and a set of words which we will finger spell, sing about, and play with, making the words on the page come alive. Students coming into this class should be able to recognize capital letters and have a firm grasp of initial consonant and vowel sounds. Knowledge of the ASL alphabet is desired but not required.
Group Instrumental Classes (4 - 8 years)
This is a great introduction to the world of private music instruction. Your child can learn to read and write music while still singing, dancing and socializing with their peers. The classes take place in small groups (maximum of 6 students per class) so your child can get the individual attention they need to be successful at their first instrument.
Piano classes take place on real digital pianos (not keyboards) with the weight and feel of standard piano keys. In the drum class children will explore a variety of drums from different cultures, learn rhythm reading and even make a drum of their own. With a chordal approach to beginning guitar, even the youngest guitarist can learn simple songs while exploring music theory.
Mommy & Me Fitness
Get ready for summer at Sing, Sign & Play this Spring! Mommy and Me Fitness will help you develop muscle definition, healthy eating habits, weight loss, stress reduction and much more!
Your child will have the opportunity to exercise with you for part of the workout and then spend a little social time with other children in a safe, fun, and caring environment all within your view. We will also be providing a wonderful caregiver to keep an eye on your little ones while you concentrate on getting in shape.
Each class comes with a special set of exertubes and weekly emails with healthy recipes and your exercise goals for the week, to help you continue the workout at home.
